An expert team deals with diagnosis and treatment of cancers in children – including newborn infants to adolescents (age: 0-8 years) in our hospital. Surgical divisions are available for necessary cancer surgeries, while radiation oncologists manage radiotherapies and pediatric oncologists plan and administer chemotherapies (anti-cancer medications).
Anti-cancer treatment is a long and laborious process carried out in cooperation with patient, patient's family and treatment team. “Mood" and motivation are maximized at our pediatric oncology department. Our children are not only provided good healthcare service, but they are also encouraged and supported to integrate into social life. Another team of psychologists and dieticians helps the patients in the treatment period.
New generation devices can quickly detect tumors that had already spread to other body parts. Low radiation dose is used for imaging studies in babies and children.
